This popular resort town attracts people the world over during the summer and winter months.
Teton Village encompasses the base area for Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and offers everything from lodging options (including 4 star resorts, condo rentals, private home rentals, and even a hostel), a handful of great restaurants (from cafes to fine dining), and a number of sporting goods shops (with seasonal gear, clothing, and rentals).
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is known for its steep and deep skiing conditions, over 4,000 vertical feet of skiing terrain, and a 100-person aerial tram that provides easy access to the very top. The ski season typically begins mid December and ends the first weekend of April. During the ski season, non-skiers can also enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, skate skiing, dog sled rides, sleigh rides, scenic tram rides, and tandem paragliding flights.
During the summer months Teton Village turns into a summer resort offering scenic tram rides, hiking trails, horseback rides, mountain biking trails, and events like the ongoing Grand Teton Music Festival, a series of classical and chamber concerts. Teton Village also marks one of the southern entrances to Grand Teton National Park along the Moose-Wilson Road. This park road is a fantastic spot to view wildlife like moose and bears and provides access to a couple hiking trails.
